After serving up an incredible starter last week, Chibuku Shake Shake returns to The Masque this weekend with a main course that will definitely have you booking for dessert. Saturday 13th October sees an array of established DJ’s walk through the recently renewed venue to bring an entourage of herbs, spices and a few of those naughty additives. MSG never tasted so good as when it’s the bass heavy twosome, Nero serving it up. The duo have recently been nominated for an Ivor Novello award for ‘Promises’ and just last week revealed they are rubbing shoulders with Skrillex as they try their hand at remixing his track ‘Monsta’.
Heading upstairs to the more intimate part of the building, Fake Blood will be playing with the minds of the young with his eclectic style of mixing. Bringing the toughest form of electro to the dance floor, his fusion of dirty beats and heavy synths combined with the roaring wobble of his baselines are what makes Theo Keating’s music so igniting. I can’t wait to see what energy he brings this Saturday.
Joining him on the bill is the ever charming production twosome Disclosure, who have broke into the scene as sweetly and innocently as a baby monkey in a nappy. Enlightening the UK and beyond with a deeper, sexy sound that’s the perfect blend of old school house and garage, the pair are on the list of promising upcoming producers set to take the UK by storm next year. Also putting the fire inside our bellies is rising star and serious beat maker, Huxley who will be turning things up with a couple of those groovy tracks that make you swing your hips! While Chibuku resident Mr. Paul gets things started right from the word go.
