Just as the bitterly cold autumn days settle in, Chibuku Shake Shake is back on the menu to host a series of parties that’s bound to shake the chill out of you! Returning to The Masque after its first ever break, Chibuku and an incredible new partnership have worked together to transformed the venue, putting a lot of time and love into what was left as an empty shell. October 6th welcomes the season in no half measures; in fact they are jumping straight in the deep end by hosting a night of dark underground techno, a sound so rich it’s a perfect reminder of where Chibuku all started.
With a mixture of British and European DJ’s the night will be awash of different styles and sounds with an underlying rhythm of Detroit techno. Ben Klock will be headlining the event, bringing his fluid, melodic style of Berlin to the world class venue in Liverpool. Support from BBC Radio 1′s hottest new recruit comes from Mosca, a British DJ who is captivating the Uk with an underground, almost soulful variation of Techno. Sounds nice right?
Also on the bill comes some of the biggest and best drum and bass stars, Andy C and Loadstar play upstairs in the fantastic loft room. Celebrating 20 years of RAM records, it’s going to be crazy up there guys. Bringing the garage movement back into modern dance culture is rising star Blawan, who has crept up and exploded onto the scene with his devilish taste of dark beats and soft vocals. Along with Liverpool’s Chibuku resident James Rand. This autumn see’s a whole new beginning for The Masque who promise to carry the same party hard principles but with a few extras thrown in. This new venue will offer security, incredible sound and even the luxury of loo paper; Which can be hard to come by in most clubs these days!
