Selah Sue has had quite the year since she broke through with her debut self titled album in 2011 the Belgian starlet also opened for Prince (Yes the Artist formally known as…) and this year sees the release of her album in the US after its massive success in Europe and a tour with Ed Sheeran beginning later this month in America too. Selah says she’s influenced by the likes of Lauren Hill, M.I.A and Erykah Badu, yet it’s difficult to pigeon hole her music but could be described as emotive and soulful with a dollop or Reggae.
You can listen to her recent acoustic performances at NPR.
