Lake Como is situated about an hour’s drive north of Milan, in the foothills of the Alps and is the deepest in Europe.  The location boasts striking scenery, with a landscape dropping down to the waters edge, during the summer the weather can be extremely humid, but it is common to see snow on the mountain tops from the lake below.

The area has long been a popular travel destination for locals and out of town tourists, trying to escape hectic city life.  There is a vast selection of stunning villas across the gorgeous shore line, as well as five star hotels.  The location is also an attraction for Hollywood’s A list, with Como being used as a location for the James Bond film, Casino Royale, and with a number of celebrities choosing to buy holiday homes in the surrounding area, including George Clooney.

The highlight of the year, is the Lake Como Festival, a tranquil collection of music, nature, flavours and culture.  Special live concerts in a musical, historical and environmental voyage across the most breathe taking residencies of Lake Como.

Started in 2006, the Lake Como Festival offers a line up of chamber music concerts in idyllic surroundings within the striking villas and gardens close to Lake Como.

The Villa’s have superb acoustics, tailored for this artistic approach, allows to enjoy the concerts with a personal touch.  The audience and musicians fuse in an explosive aural experience.

Lake Como holidays continually set out an impressive classical schedule, expanding their music development alongside traditional sounds and techniques.  The events are always in Italian and English, the festival runs from mid-August to late September, allowing for perfect weather throughout the festival season.
