As our living spaces get smaller due to rising populations, we are looking for items which consume space in our homes to be more multifunctional. Designers have picked up on this need and are coming out with ever more ingenious ideas of multi use furniture for our abodes.
Named the Coffee Bench and designed by Karolina Tylka, this design is made up of a metal frame which supports a series of identical wooden pieces, which can be set in one of two positions to create either seating or tables, to suit the users needs at different times.
At the moment this is a one-off design, but hopefully Karolina can pitch her simple yet effective design to a producer the near future.
